Made to MOVE!

Have you been moving this week?  I didn't get my regular steps in on Christmas Day or on Boxing Day - and I can tell you that I felt the worst on both those days!  My body is so used to moving that it doesn't feel good when I don't move.

We got our first big snow storm on the 26th and that certainly slowed my walking down - but I still did it!  On the 27th I walked the same amount of time but netted 2,000 less steps!  Lots of trudging though!  We didn't get any storms like this even last winter, so I'm pretty happy about this!  It's so pretty!

As you can see, the roads are pretty covered - and were covered again this morning.  Today they had been ploughed more though and some sand was down, but it was still pretty slippery at times.  I stayed upright (thankfully) but slipped at least 3x.

TOPS was cancelled today so I missed my regular WI but I did email my at-home WI to our weight recorder for accountability.  It wasn't pretty but it is what it is!

My only eating mess-up over the holidays was eating homemade apple squares -which I made on Christmas morning.  Usually they're glutenous so I stay away, but this time I made them gluten-free - for my daughter who is GF also -- and they were so good!  When they were almost finished I put them into a smaller container with my DD's name on the plastic wrap!  That kept me away from them!

How have you stayed active over the holidays?

Good job getting out there in the snow. I chose the treadmill instead but it is soooo boring.

I have been moving but unfortunately I'm waiting for my replacement fitbit to come so I know how many steps I'm doing.

Girl, you are one of the most faithful exerciser and dieters that I have ever met. You are a testimony of stick-to-it-tive-ness!!! BRAVO!
I've been off the program for several months, I'm starting back on the first. I'll be back for more motivation soon.

Happy 2013

Be careful on those slippery streets. We don't want you to get hurt.

Good job on keeping the WI under 200! You had your indulgence and now you're back on track. You'll stay in ONEderland.
